When us ladies get together and start sharing our beauty woes, hair fall is most likely the concern that tops the list. I’ve lost track of the number of times I’ve been part of conversations that include tips on going the old fashioned way, oiling your hair with Grandma’s secret concoctions, or washing your hair in mineral water. And while I’m up for trying most everything, lets face it, we all want a practical solution.

My hair has probably been in one of its worst states, both in terms of hairfall and its condition in general. After two months of being out and about for the IPL, it’s been exposed to all the elements, besides a wide range of heating and styling products. So when I got the chance to try Himalaya’s new Anti-Hair Fall range, I jumped at the chance.

First up let me say that I’ve been a fan of the brand for years now. From their Neem face wash (which appears to be everyone’s favourite) to their Tulasi and Neem tablets from their wellness range, there’s always at least a few Himalaya products around the house and on my dressing table.

This particular range – the 4 Fabulous Hair kit, is a four step one. You don’t have to use all four together, but it’s ideal if you do. Step 1 is the Oil, thankfully lightweight and its smells great too. Which means it washes off easy and your hair doesn’t still smell like oil post the shampooing. You don’t have to keep it on for very long, just a half hour before you wash it off. If you can wrap a hot towel around it, even better.

Step 2 is the Shampoo, again great smelling and leaves your hair squeaky clean. Follow this with Step 3 – the conditioner, a must, for all hair types. A little extra research led me to find that a lot of people don’t use conditioner. (What?) It’s my life-saver! Even if you have hair that’s fine or on the limp side, conditioner goes a long way in enriching your hair, and making it manageable.

The last step – Step 4- and I think this one was popular with a lot of people- the hair cream. The very first time I used it, I think I got a little overexcited and used too much which ended up with my hair looking like I had oiled it all over again. I also have an oily scalp and hair so I should have probably taken that into consideration as well. So the next time around I went easy on the hair cream using just a teeny tiny bit, and just on the ends. The results were great. And it made blow-drying my hair, a breeze.

I’ve used the Himalaya 4 step hair kit for more than a month now, sometimes with the oil and the rest of the time without. I can honestly say I’m super happy with the quality of my hair- softer and almost zero frizz. As for the hair fall, I’ve definitely seen an improvement and hopefully with prolonged use, it’ll get better and better. All in all it’s a thumbs up from me on the Himalaya Anti-Hair fall range, and here’s to stress-free Fabulous Hair!

Sounds like a well researched review. I’ve used a lot of Himalayas products especially the medicines and the face wash. I did try their protein shampoo which is nice but the conditioner always left my hair feeling dry/ tangled up. Is this one creamier?

I found this one to be the reverse. Very creamy. So I use only a tiny amount. I do have oily hair though so this could be why. Perhaps for dry hair you should use a bit more
